About the Panelists:Rachel Hamm\, Safety Program Manager\, Shook Construction Company\nRachel Hamm is the Safety Program Manager for Shook. She has been in construction for 7 years\, with almost 4 years of experience in safety. Rachel started her career in the US Navy moving to community development before entering the construction industry. As the Safety Program Manager\, her responsibilities are to ensure Shook's safety program and regulatory compliance items are up to date\, as well as coordinates with clients and subcontractors to ensure all requirements are met. She also is a resource to support all project teams as well as the safety team. Kevin Sedensky\, Director of Risk\, Safety\, and Emergency Management\, Montgomery County\nKevin Sedensky has more than 25 years of experience with Montgomery County\, serving in multiple roles across safety\, risk management\, and emergency management. A Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM)\, Kevin brings a strong background in industrial hygiene & safety\, insurance\, security\, ADA compliance\, and emergency preparedness. His prior private‑sector experience includes roles in foundry operations and safety consulting.Daniel Shoup\, EH&S Assistant Manager\, Green Tokai Co.\, LTD.\nA dedicated Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS)\, Daniel brings more than 20 years of experience in emergency services\, leadership and management\, industrial safety and design\, and regulatory compliance management\, with specialized expertise in safety and fire inspections\, risk assessments\, and risk mitigation. Daniel is passionate about positively influencing those around him by promoting safety\, health\, personal growth\, leadership\, and intentional daily actions that help protect both people and purpose. Daniel holds Ohio certifications as a Firefighter Level II\, Paramedic\, and Fire Inspector\, and is OSHA 30-hour trained. Phil Smith\, Workforce Development Manager\, MSD\, Inc.\nWith 22 years at MSD\, Phil began his career as a Sheet Metal Apprentice before advancing to Journeyman and later Foreman. In 2013\, he transitioned into a safety leadership role\, where he remained until early 2026   though\, as he says\, safety is something you never truly step away from. Throughout his career\, he has completed extensive safety training and holds both Construction and General Industry CSPS certifications through Associated Builders and Contractors\, as well as the CHST certification through Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
