Fire Inspections: How to Prepare and Plan for Them
City of Dayton Fire Marshal Andrew Steele will be joining us to share his fire inspection experience; “hot topics” will include how to manage a fire inspection on a really bad day, obtaining a second opinion, trapped between Fire Inspector and owner – when capital improvements are needed, code complications with magnetic locking and access control systems, Knox Boxes and the ever popular thought – how to minimize surprises during a routine inspection. Questions will be encouraged.
About the speaker:
Fire Marshal Steele has served more than 30 years with the Dayton Fire Department. Over this time he has become familiar with many Dayton properties, has conducted thousands of fire inspections, including periodic/routine inspections, complaint investigations, new construction approvals, wellfield protection and fire scene cause and origin investigations.
