Ohio Workers Compensation and OSHA Update
Gary Auman will bring the audience up-to-date in recent case law decisions that affect how they manage their Worker’s Compensation claims practice in Ohio. He will discuss, as appropriate, potential pitfalls in managing and defending Worker’s Compensation claims in Ohio. He will also discuss significant changes and updates on OSHA under the current federal administration.
About the Speaker: Gary Auman is a shareholder at Auman Mahan & Furry, where his practice concentrates on OSHA defense and workplace safety law. He holds a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Louisville and served as a captain in the United States Air Force prior to earning his summa cum laude law degree from The Ohio State University in 1976. Mr. Auman provides counsel to companies nationwide on OSHA compliance and represents clients in both federal and state OSHA matters. He also serves as general or safety counsel to several national and regional trade associations.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Auman is a frequent author and speaker on occupational safety and health topics at both the local and national levels. He remains actively engaged in the Dayton community through board service with United Rehabilitation Services, the Dayton Miami Valley Safety Council—where he has chaired the annual safety conference for over 15 years—and the Engineers Club of Dayton.
