Join us for a Ribbon Cutting at MVCDC's Lincoln Hill Early Learning Center!
Years in the development, Lincoln Hill is MVCDC's newest and largest early learning center. The $12-million neighborhood anchor was made possible thanks to the generosity of the national Office of Head Start, Montgomery County, the City of Dayton, Dayton-Montgomery County Preschool Promise and The Dayton Foundation. It will serve 250 young children and their families.
The state-of-the-art center has 14 classrooms — 9 for preschoolers and 5 for infants and toddlers. It has a commercial kitchen where children can learn about health and nutrition, and teachers can't wait to take their young learners to the adjacent vegetable gardens managed by Mission of Mary Cooperative. MVCDC also is partnering with Dayton Children's Hospital; the Wright State Boonshoft School of Medicine; the University of Dayton's Hanley Sustainability Institute and its Fitz Center for Leadership in Community; and East End Community Services.
