Retention: Cultural Considerations
The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Miami Valley Career Technology Center's Aspire Program, Catholic Social Services of the Miami Valley and Welcome Dayton, will be presenting a workshop for local employers designed to help you meet your employment & talent needs and the needs of our New American workforce.
What to expect:

1:00-1:15 Legal Update by Katie Kersh, Senior Attorney, Advocates for Basic Legal Equality
1:15 - 2:00 Diverse, Equitable & Inclusive Workplace by Myla Cardona-Jones, J.D., CEO, Brunner Literacy Center
2:15-2:30- Break
2:30-3:00 Small Group Work Session
This interactive workshop will be focused on local best practices and resources and will include time for networking and sharing from those in attendance.
A local immigration attorney will be present to address immigration requirements and answer questions.
