During this training program, participants will gain or improve knowledge and skill proficiency in adult first aid and CPR AED. This program includes flexible instruction tools for developing proficiency via demonstration and prompted practice, including scenario-based problem-solving exercises with feedback.
This training reflects the latest resuscitation science and treatment recommendations published by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR), and it conforms with the 2020 American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC and the annual Guidelines Update.
This training will be led by Firefighter Safe. When training through Firefighter Safe, attendees will be learning First Aid / CPR AED from active or retired firefighter/paramedics, who have utilized these life-saving skills frequently throughout their careers. Learning these skills from experienced first responders allows for students to gain knowledge from experts in the safety field. They are also provided with first-hand, real-life stories and anecdotes of these skills being utilized by first responders.
Students who complete HSI First Aid / CPR AED will receive an official certification through the Health and Safety Institute, which is valid for 2 years.
