Join fellow Generation Dayton Members as we delve into the topic of mental health and wellness and the need for support and openness around this topic in the workplace. Karlee Mason, our Generation Dayton Networking Co-Chair, will be kicking us off with an introduction to this important topic, and introducing our guest speaker, Jodi Jackson.
Karlee Mason is a marketing professional, community leader, and a strong advocate for mental health. As a young professional, Karlee understands that having conversations around mental health in the workplace can be uncomfortable and knowing how to start those conversations can be difficult. Her goal is to continue educating others around mental health stigmas and how we can overcome them. Karlee will discuss the cost of staying silent, how to start a conversation around mental health and resources that helped her along her personal mental health journey.
Jodi Jackson, the Director of Business Development at Haven Behavioral Hospital in Dayton. Among many of her community involvements she also serves as the NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Montgomery County Board Vice President. In addition to raising awareness about the need for mental health support in the workplace, Jodi will be working with participants to help identify strategies to help maintain wellness in the months ahead.
Join us for this important discussion and light refreshments.
