Join us in October to hear Ronald (Ron) Arling, President of Nidec Press & Automation and Nidec Minster Corporation, share details about the exciting growth taking place within his organization, both locally in Dayton and at its global headquarters in Minster. A long-standing business in our region, founded in 1896, Nidec Minster and the Nidec Press & Automation group of brands proudly manufacture metal forming equipment for container, automotive/contract, high-speed and EV/lamination pressroom applications. Nidec Press & Automation has equipment in more than 90 countries and operates 12 facilities with 1,400 employees globally.

About the speaker:

As President of Nidec Press & Automation and Nidec Minster, Ron focuses primarily on steering the company’s strategic direction. His key initiatives include driving performance and integration among global facilities and product brands to deliver best in class metal forming equipment and services.

Since joining Nidec Minster as CFO in 2013 and becoming President of Nidec Minster and Nidec Press & Automation in 2020, he has led the organization through eight successful mergers and acquisitions in a company-wide effort to globalize Nidec Press & Automation. With nearly 30 years of experience, Ron was a Certified Public Accountant and worked in various financial, accounting and operational roles for several Dayton area organizations, such as Deloitte & Touche, Reynolds & Reynolds, Newpage Corporation and Caresource.

Ron is proud of his foundational upbringing in Mercer County, Ohio, where he was one of seven children. After graduating from the University of Cincinnati, he spent 18 years living and working in the Miami Valley to advance his career. Today, Ron and his wife Jackie live in their hometown of Maria Stein, where they raise their six children. He is proud to be carrying on the legacy of The Minster Machine Company, now known as Nidec Minster.
