About the Speaker:
Kristina Lund is the president and CEO of AES Ohio, an AES company. She is leading efforts in Indiana and Ohio where AES is accelerating the future of energy and providing more than one million customers with reliability, affordability and sustainability. She assumed the role in October 2020.
Most recently, Lund served as AES’ chief product officer for carbon free energy, where she led the execution of innovative renewable energy transactions, including opportunities created under AES’ strategic alliance with Google. Lund also served in two regional chief financial officer positions. She covered the Eurasia business unit, based in Amsterdam, and served the Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean business unit, based in Panama. In total, Lund drove financial performance and strategic execution of businesses in 13 countries, representing more than $10 billion in total assets.
Prior to her CFO roles, she served as the vice president of the corporate strategy and investment group, where she facilitated the investment committee and led the establishment of the first company-wide commitment to reduce carbon intensity. Lund joined AES in 2006 and held positions in several groups in the company’s finance organization, including mergers and acquisitions, financial planning and analysis and investor relations.
Lund currently serves on the board of directors of the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, the United Way of Central Indiana, and the Indiana Energy Association.
Lund has a Master of Business Administration degree (with distinction) from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics (cum laude) from Wellesley College. She resides in Carmel, Indiana with her husband and their two sons.
