LION makes the gear emergency service providers, civilian responders and militaries need to stay safe in the line of duty. They deliver innovative, patented technology to the fire service market along with a dedicated research and development staff that works with fire departments to generate (and evaluate) new product ideas. LION is family owned and managed right here in Dayton.

About the Speaker: Steve Schwartz is President, Chief Executive Office and co-owner, with his brother Andy, of Lion Group Inc., a leader in its three business sectors all focused on first responders: personal protective equipment (PPE) and uniforms, training equipment and training centers, and clothing and equipment lifecycle management. Steve advanced through increasing levels of responsibility as the fourth generation in his family's business. He began his career in 1989 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2006. Steve has led the company’s development of innovative products and services that have “changed the playing field” leading to the expansion of the company into international markets, creating five joint ventures, completing ten acquisitions and three divestitures. Steve graduated in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Swarthmore College and received his MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management in 1989.
