During this presentation, Lee will discuss the concepts GE is looking at from pure electric to hybrid power for commercial aircraft.
About the speaker:
Lee recently assumed duties as the Vice President of GE Aviation Electrical Power, responsible for the US based businesses within Electrical Power including the Power Generation business located in Vandalia, OH, the Power Conversion & Control business located in Bohemia, NY and Pompano Beach, FL and new technology development in Dayton, OH. In this role Lee leads the product management teams responsible for delivering the P&L, defining business strategy, ensuring execution of Power new product introduction, and providing overall business leadership for Power products and programs.
Lee joined GE Aviation in 2012 as Sourcing Manager for the GE Aviation Bohemia site and then two years later became Product Leader for Power Conversion and Control business. He then moved in 2019 to his previous position as the Product Leader of Power Generation products responsible for the business located in Vandalia, OH. Prior to joining GE, Lee spent 24 years on active duty with the US Army. He started as an enlisted soldier before becoming a Commissioned Army Aviator. Lee served on two operational deployments to Bosnia and Kosovo as a company grade officer and three combat tours as a field grade officer in Afghanistan and Iraq culminating as an Aviation Assault Battalion Commander in Iraq. Lee’s awards and decorations, include the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star with 2 OLC, and the Air Medal with 4 device. He is a Master Aviator with over 600 flight hours in combat.
Outside of work Lee is an avid runner and golfer and enjoys time traveling and golfing with his wife Anita.
