About our speakers:

Gary Amstutz is the Superintendent of Machining for NuVasive Manufacturing and is responsible for leading the machinists in NuVasive’s state-of-art manufacturing facility in West Carrollton, Ohio.

Gary is an experienced manufacturing manager with a demonstrated history of working in the medical device industry as a machinist, applications engineer and production supervisor. He is a strong, operations professional skilled in non-profit organizations, operations management, team building, and leadership. Gary holds a Bachelor of Science degree focused in Business Leadership from Northeastern University.

Michael Popow is Engineering Manager at NuVasive and leads the team of engineers and programmers in NuVasive’s state-of-art manufacturing facility in West Carrollton, Ohio

Michael is an experienced engineering manager with a demonstrated history of working in the medical device industry. He is skilled in medical devices, biotechnology, product development, research and development (R&D), and process optimization. Prior to joining NuVasive in 2016, Michael was Biomaterials Engineering Manager with DSM / Kensey Nash Corporation where he managed the Biomaterials Orthro-structural Engineering Research & Development Group in a cGMP environment.  Michael has a Materials Science & Engineering degree from Penn State University.
