About Huffman Dam:
The Huffman Dam, an earthen embankment crossing the Mad River, is located north of Dayton near WPAFB. With over 54.5 billion gallons of storage capacity, the dam has stored floodwater over 200 times since completed. Built by the Miami Conservancy District between January 1918 and December 1921, the dam has been protecting Dayton for over 100 years.
