69th Annual Dayton/Miami Valley Safety Council Safety Conference & Symposium

Wednesday, November 3, 2021 (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.

Join us IN-PERSON for the 69th Annual Dayton/Miami Valley Safety Council Safety Conference & Symposium!

We're committed to providing you a SAFE opportunity to network and learn.

Our Keynote Address is "A New Leash on Life: The K9s for Warriors Story" presented by Captain Louie Belluomini, who worked as a psychological operations specialist and military police officer during his 9 years time in the Army. He was honorably discharged as a Captain in 2015 after serving tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Louie suffered from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and a traumatic brain injury after his deployments and had decided to pursue a treatment plan involving a K9 (Star) when medication or counseling didn’t completely solve the issues or failed. Their motto is “put a new leash on life”! Star acts mostly as a bodyguard protecting Louie from any possible threat that would normally startle him and cause him to react in a negative/scary manner.

Conference features include:

  • 10 regional and nationally recognized speakers provide education and training opportunities for a wide variety of businesses;
  • Educational sessions on potential workplace hazards and safe workplace practices;
  • Networking opportunities and exhibitor showcase;
  • Credit for 2 hour BWC Group Rating Safety Requirement*.

        *Must request certificate for credit.
