For nearly 20 years, Gen D Day has brought together our regions future leaders to "Get Out and Give Back" to the community.
The day commences at Dayton Metro Library with lunch and a keynote presentation. This year, attendees will hear from Monnie Bush, Founder and CEO, The Victory Project. Monnie will be sharing his inspiring story and the impact of volunteering, mentorship, and community engagement. Following the keynote presentation, groups will be dispatched to various non-profits throughout the Dayton region where they will volunteer their time. Attendees are invited to reconvene after their shift for a reception at Mikey's Late Night Slice sponsored by Verizon Wireless. There will be Dayton Dragons tickets available following the reception.
Keynote Speaker
Monnie L.Bush, Jr. founded The Victory Project in 2009 to empower inner-city youth through education, entrepreneurship, and enlightenment. He’s also led investigations in corporate fraud as Vice President of a executive security firm.
A passionate advocate, Monnie is a founding member of Police & Clergy Together, and the Dayton Police Chief Advisory Council. He is a published author, and dedicated to economic development, by undoing hopelessness with Godly purpose. Monnie is married to Kelly, father of four sons and a grandson.
