Join the Executive Women's Council to see a "sneak preview" of the Erma Bombeck Collection ahead of a major exhibit planned for the spring of 2024 and hear from archivist Katie Jarrell on the curation process.
"The world came to know the wit and wisdom of 1949 University of Dayton graduate Erma Bombeck through legions of newspaper columns, books and television appearances. With her family’s recent donation of her personal collection, the world now has a glimpse into the mind, heart, soul and relationships of the beloved and celebrated humorist. This selection of letters, photographs, clippings and artifacts provides a preview of the Erma Bombeck Collection’s treasures now undergoing arrangement, description and preservation ahead of a major exhibit planned for the spring of 2024."
Please provide yourself plenty of time to park and check-in since we will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. and adjourn by noon.
