Employers today face challenges in creating safe work environments while the opioid crisis continues and federal, state and local laws about drug use are in a state of flux. This places organizations across all regions and industries in a precarious position when tasked with maintaining the productivity of their workplaces, and more importantly, the safety of their employees.
In this session, Taft Law/ Dayton Partner-in-Charge, Jennifer Harrison, will help safety leaders navigate the current landscape of drug legalization, employment discrimination considerations, and how to establish appropriate and effective workplace guidelines surrounding drug use.
About the Speaker: Jennifer Harrison is the Partner-in-Charge of the Taft/ Dayton office. She represents employers in a broad range of employment and workers’ compensation matters, and she leads the Workers’ Compensation practice in Dayton. She is recognized as an Honoree of Best Lawyers in America and was awarded as 2021 Lawyer of the Year under Employment Law – Management.
