Join us on April 18th as Kevin Russell, Safety Consultant, A Safer Way, LLC presents on Safety Management Systems. A Safety Management System (SMS) is a compilation of structured, company processes that provide effective risk-based decision-making. Safety Management Systems help organizations operate at the highest level of safety to maintain safe operations. A well developed SMS can also serve as a formal means of meeting statutory requirements such as CFR 1910 or CFR 1926 and others. During this presentation, Kevin will go through 4 key areas of a SMS - safety policy (structure), risk management, safety assurance, and safety promotion. 

About the speaker:
Kevin is retired from a career at Honda where he served as the Safety Senior Manager. Kevin has over 34 years of experience in the manufacturing and construction disciplines. Kevin holds BCSP Certifications in General Industry, Construction Safety, and Safety Management. He brings many years of technical knowledge in regulatory compliance, equipment safety, construction safety, risk management, fire safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics and safety management programs, 1910 & 1926 OSHA compliance, and auditing. Kevin also has ten-plus years of experience in environmental & ISO14001 systems. Currently, Kevin is the President and Safety Consultant at A Safer Way, LLC.
