SUMMARY:The Procurement Access Series: Session II April 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Dayton Region Minority Business Assistance Center (MBAC)\, in collaboration with the City of Dayton Human Relations Council (HRC)\, presents Session II of The Procurement Access Series. This is the second installment of a three-part initiative designed to expand small business access to contracting opportunities and strengthen participation in state and local procurement.\n\nThis second session will provide a practical introduction to navigating public procurement systems used by both the procurement officers in both the public and private sector. Representatives will guide attendees through the supplier registration process\, demonstrate how to identify and track active solicitations\, and explain the structure\, requirements\, and timelines associated with bidding opportunities. Participants will gain valuable insight into how public agencies purchase goods and services\, what steps businesses must take to become eligible vendors\, and how to position their company for future contracting opportunities.\n\nThis session aims to reduce barriers to entry and equip small businesses with the knowledge and tools needed to successfully compete for public and private sector contracts. This program is ideal for small businesses seeking to better understand the purchasing landscape\, expand their customer base\, and build stronger relationships with state and local procurement offices. Event is complimentary. Registration is required.
