2026 Expert Exchange Cohort Application


The Dayton Minority Business Assistance Center (MBAC) is excited to launch the Expert Exchange Cohort, a hands-on learning experience designed to help business owners strengthen their knowledge, skills, and overall business acumen.

Over the course of six interactive sessions, including a graduation day celebration, participants will learn from industry experts in key areas that drive business success — including marketing, legal, accounting, finance, human resources, workforce development, and more.

This cohort is designed for committed entrepreneurs ready to take their business to the next level by applying what they learn, engaging with peers, and developing practical strategies for growth.

DEADLINE TO APPLY IS January 7, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered:

  • Be a women-owned, minority-owned, veteran-owned, or small disadvantaged business
  • Be a State of Ohio resident and U.S. citizen
  • Have been in business for at least two (2) years with at least one business tax return
  • Have a registered business with the Ohio Secretary of State
  • Have 1–2 employees or demonstrate an intention to hire employees
  • Be able to provide financial documents, including a Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, and Profit & Loss Statement
  • Possess a growth mindset and a commitment to actively participate and apply lessons learned in each session

Program Expectations

Participants are expected to attend all six sessions, engage fully in discussions and activities, and complete any assigned learning materials. This program is designed to build community among business leaders and foster collaboration through shared learning and accountability.
